Running
Easy jogs, long Sunday runs, the occasional marathon I swear will be my last. It never is. Running is my quiet time, my thinking time, and how I make sense of most weeks.
A tenant profile · est. 2026 · mildly anxious
Polish by birth, Dutch by habit — I've been living in the Netherlands for over five years and quietly fell for Leiden somewhere along the way. My flatmate is moving back to Ireland in August, which means I'm technically homeless from then on (September works too, if a friend heroically lets me couchsurf for a month). I work full-time on a permanent contract, which is a romantic way of saying rent will be paid before you've finished your coffee.

01 · About
I'm Polish, originally from Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, and I've been living in the Netherlands for more than five years now. Somewhere between the bike lanes and the bitterballen I quietly fell for this country — Leiden in particular. It genuinely feels like home, and I'd really, really like to stay.
I work full-time on a permanent contract for a company I actually like. Translation: I'm financially stable, my job doesn't follow me home, and I'm not about to ghost you on the 28th of the month.
My current flatmate is moving back to Ireland in August, so I'm looking to move ideally from August — that's the moment I'm officially without a roof. September is also doable if some kind soul lets me couchsurf for a few weeks after reading this.
I'm social, but the kind of social that also genuinely loves a quiet evening with a book and the radiator on. I'm spontaneous, but the kind that still texts back. I ask a lot of random questions because people are objectively the most interesting thing in any room. I'll probably ask you one within the first ten minutes. Sorry in advance.
A random girl from a charity organisation once stopped me on the street and described my vibe as "comforting vibes". I have thought about it almost every day since. It is now, unofficially, my entire personality.

02 · Evidence
A small, slightly chaotic gallery of recent evidence. Please don't touch the glass.

"the brunost summit, april 2026"
Exhibit A · proof I do leave the house and let people feed me cheese.
I got invited over to try Norwegian brunost for the first time. As someone with a documented sweet tooth and a black hole where my stomach should be, my review carried unusual weight at the table. Verdict: surprisingly into it. Would return.
Exhibit B · the international order of "we just ran a marathon, please don't make us stand up".
Ran it together. Finished it together. Collapsed on the pavement together. 10/10 friend group, would suffer 42 km with again. 🫶

"rotterdam marathon, totally fine, just resting our eyes"

"finish line grin, suspicious behaviour"
Exhibit C · evidence I find fun in places most people find a wall.
Rotterdam marathon, finish line, and apparently still grinning like an idiot. Pretty solid preview of what I'm like as a flatmate on a Monday morning.
Exhibit D · occasional side quests.
Mostly I just run and lift weights. But every so often I decide to do something completely random, for no real reason, and film the evidence. Two examples, your honour.
"pole dance, take one and only"
"handstand attempt, fully supervised"
Exhibit E · friend's house-warming, hand-painted walls, mild stage fright.
A friend told everyone they could paint whatever they wanted on their walls. I took it personally and spent most of the evening possessed by some painter, while friends gathered around like an extremely supportive jury.

"mural-in-progress, audience included"
Exhibit F · mum's favourite child & my sister

"day one & thirty years later — same team"
That's my sister. She's cool. Worth a mention.

Easy jogs, long Sunday runs, the occasional marathon I swear will be my last. It never is. Running is my quiet time, my thinking time, and how I make sense of most weeks.
Yes, this is real. After every long run I post a review of whatever pastry I just earned. Started as a joke, somehow became lore. I have opinions about almond croissants.
Regular. Mid-table contender on a good week. Suspiciously confident on capital cities.
Three times a week. I will not talk about it unprompted. Mostly.
Watch a good match when I can. Used to play, technically still do, mostly retired. Knowledge: still elite.
Letterboxd-deep. I'll defend Paddington 2 and Project Hail Mary in court, under oath.
Currently: somewhere between a non-fiction brick and a thin novel I'll finish in two days.
I know every decent bakery and roaster in a 3km radius. Ask me. Please ask me.
Genuinely. Not in an ironic way. I will explain why the Spinosaurus is criminally underrated if given any opening at all.
Don't be surprised if I ask who your favourite Disney princess is on day one. It's diagnostic.
Book, blanket, no plans, no notifications. The introvert recharging ritual.
Tuesday 9pm cinema run? Yes. Sunday 7am walk? Also yes. Just text me.

05 · What I'm looking for
Budget is around €900 a month including utilities. Could be a room in a shared place, could be a small apartment — I'm honestly happy either way.
I've shared before and I genuinely like it: built-in dinner company, someone to complain about the weather with, occasional pasta exchange. But a quiet little one-bedroom would also be lovely.
Flexible on the rest as long as the place feels right and the people feel right. That's basically the whole brief.

"Greg is genuinely one of the easiest people to have around: calm, considerate, tidy, and very respectful of other people's space. He's quiet without being antisocial, reliable without making a big deal of it, and the kind of person who makes a house feel relaxed rather than crowded. Would happily recommend him as a housemate — and I can confirm he is much less chaotic than this website suggests."

"Currently living with Greg. Basics first… he's clean, tidy, and always pays bills on time. Otherwise he's a very chill guy, causes no hassle, and can be a lot of fun."

"Greg is a man of little words, always easy to hang out with though, especially when food is involved. (However, make sure your favorite snacks are stored away safely as nothing is safe from him.) He's also the best movie buddy you could ask for because he'll smuggle your favorite lemonade into the movie theater, he will re-watch any movie with and for you and will even watch a foreign movie with Dutch subtitles without understanding a thing. He's also artistic and will do his best to improve any mural or painting within his abilities. :) Overall he's a loyal friend who's up for hangouts and who will open up to you if you give him the time and space and I would totally recommend him as a roommate or tenant."

"If you're wondering whether it's worth to go and watch a movie in the cinema, Greg has already seen it. He won't give you an in-depth review, but you'll know if it's good or bad. And if he really likes it he'll make sure you know and maybe bring you along to one of the next 3-4 times he goes to watch it!"

Looking for a place from August (September also works), ideally in Leiden because it genuinely feels like home now. Long-term, references on request, will absolutely bring biscuits to the viewing. Possibly pierogi if things go well.
